Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful

Recent volatility masks just how much global stock markets have powered ahead over a multiple year timeframe despite increasing inflation, high valuations and numerous other risks. In this environment, investors have been spoiled with easy monetary conditions, thus far relegating capital protection to the bottom of their priority list and instead focusing on how much can be gained in as little time as possible. Anil Jugmohan chats with Dave Foord, multi-counsel portfolio manager of the Nedgroup Investments Stable Fund, to discuss key insights around perceived safety, capital protection, long termism and “finishing the race” in the context of investment markets today.
